Seven Isles CapitalJob Description | General Counsel Overview Seven Isles Capital, founded in 2017 and based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is a privately-held holding and management company for the operating assets of the DeAngelo Family (i.e., a single-family office).
We provide flexible, long-term capital, and truly partner with the businesses and people we invest in.

We understand and appreciate the realities of starting, growing, and operating a business, which means we can provide focused and effective guidance, as well as provide our management teams the flexibility to do what is right for the businesses in both the short and long term.
Lastly, within our businesses, we place significant emphasis and value on culture as well as hiring and retaining quality people.
Our team is comprised of four individuals: Paul DeAngelo (Founder), Paul DeAngelo Jr. (Founder), Danny Berz (Principal), and Bill Hartman (Operating Partner), and we are seeking to add a General Counsel to our growing team.

Core Responsibilities / Skills / AbilitiesWork with venture capital and/or lower middle market private equity businessesLead transaction process from initial contact through closing (i.e., lead diligence, drafting, negotiation, closing)Draft / review / negotiate contracts / purchase agreements / credit agreements / non-competes / NDAs / etc.
Handle business / entity formation, review investment / management structuresOversee outside counsel re: tax, estate, insurance and other issuesAdvise on routine legal matters (e.g., real estate purchases / leases)Work across DeAngelo family items, SIC transactions, and with SIC portfolio companiesEducation / ExperienceBachelor’s and law degrees8+ years practicing transaction / business lawAbility to travel as neededTraits / AttributesAttention to detailClear / concise verbal / written communicationBusiness acumenPositive / humble attitudePreferredBased in / licensed to practice law in PennsylvaniaNetwork that could add value (e.g., deal flow)Entrepreneurial spiritIndustry experience (contracting/maintenance, behavioral health, auto dealerships)OtherReports directly to Paul DeAngelo (Founder), but will work closely with entire team and portfolio companiesMust be based in eastern half of USA, and be near major airport to travel as neededTotal compensation will be market competitive with like roles / responsibilitiesJob Type: Full-timePay: Up to $200,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location:Fully Remote
