| An organization is seeking a skilled Staff Attorney to help execute its vision. This role will focus on assisting with the development, articulation, and implementation of legal and company policies at the corporate level. Temporary Staff Attorney Location: Chicago,IL Job Type: Full time Your Responsibilities: Draft, negotiate and review a variety of commercial contracts. Draft and revise housing agreements, leases and other relevant real estate documents. Assist and advise Paralegals in the preparation of contracts and external communications. Respond to escalated resident complaints, attorneys and agencies, with respect to issues arising under State and Federal Fair Housing laws, rules and regulations. Respond to vendor and resident disputes. Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation matters. Coordinate with inside and outside counsel on entity and asset acquisitions. Perform legal due diligence analysis with respect to potential acquisitions and provides guidance. Qualifications: Law degree from an accredited university or law school, admission to the bar of at least one US State and 2-5 years of professional work experience, preferably within Multi-family housing. Fair Housing law experience is strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Property Management Systems.
